SLEEPING BAGS FOR THE HOMELESS
|
|
My Brother's Keeper is a non-profit
organization that makes and
distributes sleeping bags to the homeless. These bags are made from
donated and recycled materials. In our parish, we are fortunate to have
some generous volunteers that have been making and distributing these
bags to the New Horizons Soup Kitchen. Please check the Sunday bulletins
for announcements of meeting times. Teenagers and adults are welcome. |
| |
| These sleeping bags are easy to make. No
sewing skill is required. However, we need as many volunteers as
possible to make our effort a success. |
| |
| Sleeping bags are rolled up with donated
items in them. We collect only men's clothing because it is safer for
women living on the street to be dressed as men. Any of the following
items will be greatly appreciated. |

inner layers of the sleeping bags. Damaged areas are cut out and patched
or pieced together. |
