MISSION

| The mission of the Parish Nurse Program of Optima
Healthcare Community Services is to assist local faith communities in
their efforts to provide spiritual, physical, psychological, and social
care to their members and neighborhood communities by facilitating the
establishment and maintenance of the Parish Nurse Program in church
communities. In doing so, the Parish Nurse Program reflects the
philosophy of Optima Healthcare Community Services in seeking to respect
the dignity of each human life, and to preserve and cherish that life in
a spirit of cooperation and charity.
The Parish Nurse role focuses on personal health counseling, health
education, referral, wellness promotion, advocacy, and integration of
faith and health. |
